Time For A Laugh, It's Website Wednesday

Hey Everyone! So writing the Crucial Element article has sparked my blog writing bug again, so let's start this blog thing again with Website Wednesday. If you guys like to laugh as much as I do, you will enjoy the Someecards website. Most of you might be familiar with this website if you were ever all about bumper stickers on Facebook, since most of the politically incorrect ones were thanks to the website. If you are a sarcastic person, such as myself, you will appreciate the way that the e-cards are worded to commemorate forced occasions, such as apologies and graduations. Someecards even has cards that comment on current events, such as College Basketball, the changing seasons, current technology, and the economic climate, as above, among other topics.

So if you feel inclined to let someone know you're thinking about them, keep up with the times, send an e-card, and while you're at it, send one from Someecard, and show them just how much you care!

Happy Halloween?!

Happy Halloween?!

Hi Everyone,
So unfortunately I haven't had much time to share my most recent findings, story of my life, but I HAD to share this! Blogger planetdan.net had concocted some Halloween costume ideas that I had to share with you after Thrillist noted it in one of my daily emails. It's nice to know that someone else loathes the female costumes the costume industry has been putting on display as much as I have...on that note I hope none of my girlies are doing the same! :) Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

Website Wednesday!

Website Wednesday!

So another decision has been made based on my blog model and I have decided that Wednesdays will be reserved strictly for websites that I think are worthy of pointing out, unless something really pressing happens that specific day, in which case we will interupt your regularly scheduled program!

Today's website is: The Fail Blog! If you've seen any of these "FAIL" pictures you already understand the sentiment behind these kind of photos. If not, let me explain. The whole idea behind "Fail"ed photos is that photographers, usually novice, capture moments that they encounter going about their day that falls short of what it set out to accomplish. For example, the picture that is depicted here shows a pool aparatus that needs a knob to turn it on, yet the machinery has an on and off switch, which makes the instructions null and void or a "FAIL". "Fail" moments vary from emails, to news captions, to videos, and onward.

So if you ever feel like you're not the smartest cookie in the batch, feel free to check this website out to remind yourself that at least you're not guilty of one of these "Fail"ed moments :)

Okay, so I'm still getting use to this blogging thing, and have decided that each Tuesday from here on in, I will be talking about music-related things. I mean ITunes has New Music Tuesdays, so why not piggyback onto that.

So today, we're talking about old school mixtapes. No one really makes them anymore because we don't really utilize/threw our cassette tape players out the window. Granted, for a while it was cute to make a "mixcd," but nowadays with personal MP3 players taking over, what are you going to do? Woo your sweetheart by borrowing their Ipod and putting a playlist on it?! Kind of inconvenient and unpractical, and if it was me I wouldn't go a day without my Ipod so that option would be out!

Welcome the mixtape for the new generation. 8tracks is a website where you upload a total of 8 tracks that are to your liking or utilize 8tracks existing library to communicate your inner emotions. From there, 8tracks users can search for your playlist based on you as a DJ, a genre you used, an artist the playlist includes or the feeling the playlist exudes. For example, some of the current featured playlists include, "Songs that make you feel better,"Getting Things Done Mix," and my personal fave, "electro-hobo."

So if you were wondering how to convey your thoughts without blatantly saying them, mixtapes are again an option so you can return to being emotionally ambiguous! Enjoy!

This is Long Overdue

Hey Everyone! So I decided to start up this blog to share with you all a condensed version of my favorite findings from the many daily emails I get and the insider information I always seem to stumble across. Now you all will know what I know... sort of! Feel free to subscribe to this since I plan on writing pretty regularly, and already have an arsenal of information I want to share ready for those days that there really isn't anything new going on!

So to start it off, I'd like to speak about something very near and dear to my heart: drunk web surfing. We all like to do it when we get home at 2am and still have some energy to burn. Some like to shop. Some like to post incomprehensible Facebook messages that they can laugh at the next day. I myself am guilty of requesting to be friends with my best friend's ex-boyfriend on her account... don't ask! But this becomes dangerous when you decide to email those specific few you should not at this odd hour and confess to them your life story. Some of these few could be that ex boyfriend you swore off, that backstabbing best friend you would never swallow your pride to talk to again, or maybe that crush that never knew you worshipped the ground he walked on.

Google to the rescue! If you have a gmail account you can now enable Mail Goggles, a feature that requires you to do simple mathematical equations before allowing you to send out the late night word vomit! Once enabled, you can adjust the settings so it will only turn on during late night hours.

So now you can drunk web surf freely. You can thank me later!
